What is the OZEV EV Chargepoint Grant?

The EV Chargepoint Grant is run by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV). It provides up to £350 (or 75% of the cost, whichever is lower) towards the supply and installation of a home charge point.

Years ago, the original grant was open to almost any homeowner with off-street parking. That broad scheme closed. The version that survives in 2026 is deliberately targeted — it now exists to help the people who were previously left out: those who live in flats and those who rent.

Who qualifies for the grant in 2026?

You can typically claim the grant if you meet all of the following:

• You **own a flat**, or you **rent any residential property** (flat or house)
